Furggelen in Isenthal is a saddle in the terrain, accessible via the "Wissig-Furggelen" cable car or on foot. From there, the "Urner Mundartweg" (Uri Dialect Trail) leads, offering interesting insights into the local culture. A popular circular hike leads via Furggelen, Bärchi, and back to Isenthal.

Accessibility by car
From Altdorf/UR, follow the signs to Isenthal until you reach the "Isenthal, Weid-Furggelen" bus stop, which is located outside the village of Isenthal, approximately 400 meters uphill. Public parking is available on site.
The glass igloo itself can only be reached on foot or by private cable car. There is no public road.
Hiking to the glass igloo
From the post bus stop, the glass igloo can be reached via the wonderful " Urner Mundartwanderweg " (circular hike in Isenthal).
Accessibility by cable car
The cable car station is located slightly above the "Isenthal, Weid-Furggelen" bus stop. Free parking is also available at the bus stop.
Use of the cable car is only possible with advance booking (2 days prior). Please contact the Bissig family by text message or phone the evening before your arrival to confirm your exact arrival time.

Can I buy snacks or a picnic basket somewhere?
A small refrigerator is available on site, stocked with drinks for consumption without prior registration.
There are no grocery stores nearby. Therefore, bring your own food for grilling or conveniently pre-order your catering from the Bissig family.
In the Bubble you have access to a raclette set and a small, handy grill.
Is there a fire pit nearby?
A strict fire ban is in effect throughout the entire area around the Urner Mundartweg (Uri dialect trail), therefore a handy grill is available on site.
